PPGQ research is highlight in the COVID-19 battle
PPGQ research developed a novel COVID-19 diagnostic molecular method and is featured in Jornal Anhanguera from Globo television.
Research coordinated by PPGQ researcher, Prof. Gabriela Rodrigues Mendes Duarte, and developed by graduate students of the program, Kézia Gomes de Oliveira, Paulo Felipe Neves Estrela and Geovana de Melo Mendes, in collaboration with the UFG Biological Sciences Institute, developed a new molecular method that can be used to detect COVID-19 in early stages, being faster, sensitive, accurate and cheaper than the current ones.
The research, besides being featured in the Globo television Goiás State news broadcasting (click here for the full new in Jornal Anhanguera), is currently submitted to publication in Biosensors & Bioeletronics (impact factor = 9.518).
